Lecom-FL calling back question

Let me throw my scenary to you guys to get some advice about what i should do. i called lecom-fl last wednesday to ask about the status of my application and annette told me that a decision would be made by the end of the week. i received a call an hour later asking for fall transcripts to be faxed which were immediately. i called back on thursday making sure the fax went through and asked if a decision had been made on the file, which was answered with 'the committee hasnt met again.' I obviously fear being a nusiance if i call back today but im only hesitant because she originally told me a decision would be made by the end of last week. Thoughts on what to do?

I would call if it were me...I doubt the secretaries who answer the phone will have any effect on your application if you piss them off and I'm not so sure calling would even piss them off

I think the committee meets on Thursdays so they prob. hadn't met THAT day yet, but LECOM is very quick in sending out the notice after the committee meets, if the dean is around I think they send it out the next day.

I'll agree that it's quick once you get accepted. They told us that Dean George likes to look them over one last time on Friday and sign them before they mail them out. The committee met on the Thursday after we interviewed and I received my letter on Monday in SC. I'd call that quick.

LECOM is pretty quick with their responses. I interviewed last week on the 14th and called today and they told me I was accepted! Yay! They said the committee met on the 16th and that was the day my letter of acceptance was sent out. Still waiting for the letter hehe. But I would definitely call!

I would definitely NOT call. If you think that the secretaries/admins/people whose titles I can't think of right now do NOT have a bearing on your acceptance, YOU ARE WRONG.

The admissions committee there does make decisions very quickly... I've never heard of anyone having to wait longer than about 2 weeks to hear something back. Even though you're absolutely dying to know.. remember they are evaluating thousands of applicants and trying to pick the best ones.. your future classmates.. let them do their work... they're not trying to torture you...

Rejectified, pre-interview. Not only do i feel like a failure, but im assuming this will be the pattern for the other schools i applied to.

If you don't mind, was your stats <22 MCAT or 23+ MCAT and GPA: <3.5 or 3.5+?
