I would really like to attend lecom, but am worried that there are no stats/residency matches etc. since it is a new school. What if i graduate in 4 years and can't find a residency? Or can't find one I like. Any opinions on students who go there or has anyone heard anything? And has anyone heard about 3/4th year rotations over there?

Well they have yet to graduate a class. They have been open for 2 years, so the second year class will start their rotations in July. They will be the first ones and I"m sure everything will be fine. We should know more then.

I would venture to say that every established school was new at one point...and those concerns were always on the minds of students. I certainly don't think one would not be able to find a residency unless one can't pass the boards or classes for that matter. There is always the scramble too. 🙄

I'm an MSI at LECOM Bradenton, so I've had a chance to look at the rotation and residency list. While it's a lil brief for the florida locations as of yet, we do have all the associations that Erie has as well as our own, if that helps. I personally am waiting on a commission from the Navy, so once that goes through, I'll be doing a number of rotations and my residency with them, so I have to admit I haven't given too much thought to it.. If you have more specific questions, I can look into it more closely, and as a matter of fact, there is a meeting/dinner at school on the 20th with a number of the heads of local residency programs to get us more informed about it. Shoot me a question, and I'll see if I can be any help.
