How many of you are waiting for an interview call from Lecom? Can u also post when you submitted your secondary applications pls? I sent mine in late November and haven't heard from them yet.

I just sent my supplemental application in about 1-2 weeks ago.

If I remember correctly (I'm at work otherwise I'd look through my paperwork and tell you for sure) I sent everything in late September. I was interviewed first part of November.

*Edit* I thought I was interviewed in Nov but I have an email dated Oct 18th thanking me for completing my phone interview. It was the first part of November that I received the acceptance letter.

I even sent my materials earlier (first week of October) but I still have not heard anything from them. My preferred location was Florida.

Hi Glowwyrm I was just wondering which LECOM campus you applied to, did you receive a letter of acceptance yet, and if you don't mind, what type of interview questions were you asked?🙂

I applied to the Erie campus. Yes, I have already received an acceptance. The interview was very laid back. It had a very conversational tone. Look in the interview feedback area. I believe all the questions they asked me are in that section. I think the only one they asked me that isn't in the interview area was what are some of my hobbies. At the end of the interview they gave me time to ask some questions. The person that interviewed me seemed very nice, organized, professional, and really easy to talk to. I did not receive any email or letter stating that they would be calling me for an interview. This was actually a good thing because all of my answers were straight from the hip and I didn't have time to overthink things or get nervous.

Glowwyrm if you don't mind could you tell us your stats for acceptance?

I am waiting for a phone call as well. My applications were entered on pharmcas as received on 12/1

Sorry, I didn't see that you had asked me a question until I saw the newest one today. My stats are I have a BS in Biochemistry. I am almost finished with a masters degree in public health. I just need to finish my thesis but now that I'm trying to save up money, I doubt I'll finish my MPH before I start pharmacy school. I'll have to go back after pharmacy school to finish that degree (if I'm up to it after 3 more years of school) I volunteered in a research pharmacy for a while and I also work in research.

I'm waiting as well. Not sure if I will accept if I get in though. I am still debating 3 year and 4 year programs.

Good luck to everyone else.

Congrats on the interview Dinu. Did you apply to the PA or FL campus? I got interviewed the middle of October and received my acceptance letter the first part of November. I wouldn't worry if it takes them a while to get back to you though with it being the holidays and all. Maybe the next post of yours will be you saying you've been accepted. 👍

Congrats Dinu, my application was comlete at the end of November and I haven't received any call yet for an interview. I was just wondering what are your stats, any pharm exp or extracurricular activities? Also, what type of questions were you asked on your phone interview? THX!!!

Thanks. I applied to Erie campus. I have around 3.7gpa, 1 yr research experience, graduating with a BA next semester, tutoring... The interview questions were structures qs, not personal. I believe that was a closed applications interview. The questions were like examples of achievements, group work, any deficiency and how I overcame it, any conflict with someone and how I resolved it, things like that.
Glowwyrm, is Lecom your 1st choice? Did u apply anywhere else?

FYI, below are the dates that I had to go through to get my acceptance letter for LECOM ERIE.
Received email for completed application: 10/19
Received email for interview request: 10/29
Interviewed: 11/01
Received acceptance letter in the mail: ~11/23

I have a 3.4 Overall GPA with a B.S in Mech Eng and close to 1 years of retail experience. The interview was pretty easy. I think they only asked me one situational question and the rest was just easy. I had 5-10 mins at the end to ask them about the program and the school.

Good luck to everyone else and dont forget that there's no length of time for the school to make a decision on you. I know it sucks but you just gotta move on and worry about other things (ie other interviews and stuff)...

Yes, LECOM was my first choice. I applied to several places but once I was accepted and my money was accepted for the matriculation fee, I emailed the other schools and asked that my application be withdrawn. I chose LECOM for several reasons. I like that it's a 3 year program and in a small city. I grew up in a very rural environment. Right now I live in a large city and I really am looking forward to moving to a smaller town. Just the other day there was a shoot out in a neighborhood a few blocks away from us. Several houses were sprayed with bullets. I supposedly live on the "safe" side of town too. I know that can happen anywhere but still.... I have a husband and a teen daughter so I'm looking forward to getting them out of here as well. It's the snow and cold I'm really not sure about but I'm sure we'll adjust.

As another poster mentioned, I wouldn't fret if they haven't contacted you yet. I think I was one of the first ones because I submitted kind of early and had all of the prereqs completed. They are probably going to also be delayed by the holidays so I wouldn't be surprised if it takes them a few weeks longer than it took to contact me. Let us know the second you hear anything. Good luck.

😍 I just checked my mail, and there was the letter from Lecom. I got accepted to Lecom, Erie. I am so excited. I think this is the happiest news I ever heard. I was so nervous to open the letter, and when I saw the word "congratulations" I cried for about 10 mins without even reading the rest of the letter. I am so happy and I wish everybody good luck.
Misstofu, Don't worry, you'll hear the good news soon too.

Thanks misstofu. yes, Pharmcas had recalculated my gpa this morning. They will mail the transcripts this week. They only need me to keep 2.7 gpa.
I am so relieved.

Man, I submitted late compared to everybody else! I sent in my application materials, which were received by 1/11 (according to my certified USPS report. It hasn't shown up on PharmCAS supplemental status yet) and I haven't heard a thing. Not really expecting to get in... I had to ask if I could substitute my research advisor's reference letter for the undergraduate science professor letter because I've been out of school for a while. They told me to include an explanation for it in my application and then they'd decide whether or not they would process it any further. Anybody else in that boat?

So, just this morning, I had an email from LECOM telling me which courses I still need to complete. PharmCAS never updated my supplemental status with them, but I guess they definitely have my application....
