LECOM interview status

Hi Everyone...

I interviewed at LECOM on 1/31/00 and I am just wondering if anyone else interviewed on that date here... and I would appreciate if those people would let me know if/when they here about their status at LECOM. (you could tell that I am anxious).

i interviewed on 1/20 and got my acceptance one week later, if you interviewed on the 31st, a week is today, relax, they reply quick but not that quick!!! how'd you like the school though? are you considering going? i thought it was great, but i'm waiting for a couple of other schools to make my desicion...

I thought LECOM was really nice. I'm still looking at other schools, though. I heard that the way they pick those that get admission is that they meet every Friday to discuss that week's applicants. I guess acceptance letters are then sent out on Monday or Tuesday... which is how you received yours in one week. I didn't hear anything yet, but my interview was on Monday so I guess by Friday I should definitely hear something! (I hope!!) I am just paranoid b/c I got NO feedback whatsoever, and I didn't quite know what the panel was looking for. I didn't get any personal questions,and the interview wasn't conversational at all...

i just got back from an interview at umdnj, and although its a pretty well respected school and the interview went well, and they take 120 out of the 170 they interview, i really like lecom a lot better. i got a really good feel of lecom when i visited, and not really such a good one from umdnj, i guess i have to wait to see if they take me, but am i crazy to be considering lecom over umdnj? where else are you waiting to hear?

I don't think you're crazy for choosing LECOM at all. I am fairly sure that is where I am going to go. I received my acceptance letter a few days ago. I think that the school is very impressive. I especially like the cost of living and the safety of the area. So... maybe I'll see you there!

Congratulations D.O.2B on your acceptance. I have an interview scheduled for 2/24...hopefully, I will be accepted as well. I'm wondering if they even have any openings left! Any advice to help prepare for the big day?

Good luck with your interview. The best advice I could possibly give is to go to interviewfeedback.com and you should be absolutely fine. They didn't ask me any questions that weren't on that page. Have you had other interviews?

Just how old IS 'old', O.F.? With age comes wisdom and sense of self

I'll be attending LECOM this Fall--at the age of 41. Just be yourself and know who you are and why you want to be a physician. There are no 'trick' questions in this process. LECOM was the most relaxed and sincerely interested group I encountered. Enjoy and best wishes. p.s.-- I second the suggestion to review the interviewfeedback site.

Thank y'all for the suggestion - that site is like hitting a gold mine! My other secondaries went in after LECOM, so I am still waiting to hear if I will be receiving any other interviews or not. I'm very late in the process - most of my secondaries were not complete until around the beginning of February. Anyway, how about you - any other interviews? Also, Thalamus, CONGRATULATIONS on your acceptance at LECOM as well. If accepted, I thought I would be the oldest person there at 35 (turning 35 in May).
