Hello everyone, I have been accepted to both the LECOM Health Sciences program and the PCOM Biomed program (in Philadelphia) and I couldn't find any recent info regarding the two in comparison. I was wondering if anyone who has been in either program could maybe shed some light on the quality of each program? As far as I'm aware, LECOM is much cheaper and it has a stronger link to their medical school than PCOM. But, I'm not sure if LECOM is really where I would like to go for medical school. However, I feel I can't really pass up the opportunity, even though I think I would be happier at PCOM. Sorry for writing a novel, but if anyone has any insight I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you!

I am actually wondering the same thing.

I know this is old but can anyone comment on either program?

I can't speak about LECOM but from what I've heard PCOM accepts a good number of the biomeds. Those that apply before/during their first year can get an interview after doing well in the program with a 24 MCAT and applying after the first year is over (summer after) with good grades puts you in a good spot for an acceptance.

for LECOM postbac you have to have an LOR written specifically for the program? i.e) you can't use your med school app letters? thats what i'm taking from the instructions. this is a hassle as ive been out of school a few years and don't have anyone i could drag up to ask. hm
