Lecom Pre Req

Does anyone know if you can be accepted at LECOM missing a prereq? I thought all schools allow for this but Touro NV requires all science pre reqs to be done before they review your app. I have called lecom but not recieved a response. Any help would be appreciated.

I am not sure, but anytime I have had a question about LECOM the admissions people have been really good about responding to my e-mails. You could always try that if you don't get an answer on here.

If I remember correctly, you can be missing a prereq during the application season but they must be completed before matriculation.

I already called a couple of weeks ago, and they said as long as you are done with your pre-reqs before matriculation, you'll be good. Missing pre-reqs does not affect your chances of getting an interview.

Is this in regards to Orgo 2 perhaps? Because I do not know how to react to all these DO schools requiring Orgo 2, and then I hear like 5% or less of Orgo 2 is on the new MCAT...

I dont know if i should take orgo 2 before the mcat or after

Yes it is. I am non trad so I had to take both organics online. Worst case I will have to retake both if online classes are not acceptable. I just did not want to be held back from applying. I would suggest taking orgo 2 at une. It is super easy and biochem heavy. In my opinion why even require orgo when it is not really needed.

I just completed a Biochemistry/Mol Cell class and I have taken Orgo 1, but I still feel that my knowledge base is inadequeate, so I may take Orgo 2 before (or i may leave it up to my prep course in addressing any deficits!).

GOOD. Organic is the weak spot for my MCAT studying; this is great news.

I didn't take ANY orgo but still scored a 10 on biology section. New mcats probably diff tho
