Hi i just received an email from LEcom asking for a secondary, but its kind of late, i'm stumped why theyre asking at this stage since i put in my app in August. Theyre just reviewing it now?

no mcat retake.. also, i didnt know about this til now, I guess i should call but it would be moot as im just now getting this secondary and i sent it in,

Well it doesn't sound like you are putting in a whole lot of effort here, but hey if you've got a spare 50 bucks why not? They don't even require an essay.

Considering how many apps they have piled up by now, you may be wasting 50 bucks if you apply. Not saying you're not a good applicant, just that there are a lot of people ahead of you.

Did you have fall grades that you recently submitted to AACOMAS? When I submitted my fall grades I got another "we recieved your application, please fill out our secondary" email from LMU. Even though I had already done so previously.

Do not mean to hi-jack the thread..but I never received a secondary since I submitted my primary back in August, but then again I didn't have an MCAT score till now (took it 1/27). Was I supposed to receive a secondary? Or do they only send secondaries if you have MCAT scores?

I'm pretty sure they need an MCAT score so they know if you meet their minimum requirements for a secondary app. So that's why you're just now getting it.

If you have good stats, I would submit it and follow up, unless you have other acceptances lined up

Just so you know, LECOM interviews through March/April and accepts students all the way up to the week before classes start. Many students who apply have multiple options so as those folks decline a spot, it goes back to needing to be filled again. Put your paperwork in and see what happens. Just know that if you are on the wait list it is entirely possible to get a last minute acceptance call.There were about 10 students in my class who had 2 weeks notice or less.
