  1. Pre-Dental
I was accepted to LECOM and I am considering attending above my state school.

Does LECOM have a bad reputation among dentists in Florida?

Anyone happen to know what their board pass rates are for recent classes?

Also, does anyone really choose this school as a first choice or is true most people who go there only go because it was their only option?

Isnt your state school cheaper? go to the cheaper one

It is but not worried about cost (well...I am a little) at the moment because I am hoping for Navy.

What's your state school and do you want to specialize?

No plans to specialize. My state school is Colorado.
I can't really speak to what you're asking in the original post except that a lot of people apply to Lecom as a safety school which is why they have a lot of waitlist movement. Some food for thought though: patients never ask where the dentist went to school, most employers don't care what school if you're associating and if you want to own your own pp then even better, a lot of people say to go to school where you'd like to live and practice (connections, used to the area, get hunkered down by finding a significant other, etc.), I've heard of the income being relatively high in Colorado. The Lecom bradenton campus is a small square building in the middle of nowhere so truly research if you'd enjoy going there before committing to a school you've never physically been to. I have a few friends that did the Lecom early acceptance program because that's where they wanted to go though. Idt it's a bad school at all but I don't know all that much about it. Also for your entire 4th year I think they send you to live in one of two rural underserved areas (one in florida one in erie I think) so think about if that's something you'd like. Idk a thing about Colorado though. Hope any of this ramble helps lol
