Just out of curiosity, if I were to complete an ophthalmology residency at say, Yale, would my children get legacy points when applying to Yale as an undergraduate even if i did not attend Yale undergraduate or medical school? I don't mean to single out Yale, I was just using it as an example. I'm more curious about the general question in regards to any university. Thanks

i believe there are many variables in this scenario. one thing is for sure: if you complete an ophthalmology residency at yale, donate 10 million dollars to the university and get a building named after you, i am sure your kids will get in without a problem. 😉
