So I asked my dentist to write a LOR for me and I turned the sealed envelope to HPAC (Health professions advisory committee)...the advisor opened the letter and front of me and said this is too short (it was only 1 paragraph...😱😱😱) He wanted me to get a detailed letter from dentist. When I told my dentist about the incident (politely and scared:xf:) he told me to write the LOR and give it to him and he will edit it the way he wants and send it to HPAC.

I have never done this before and I have no idea what to write. Please help!!!!

Thank you DentalWorks....you are always a great helper (we may not know each other but your informative posts all over SDN and they have helped a lot😀)

Do a search. I think there have been a few threads posted lately. Long story short, just talk about what your perks are.

That was actually one of my fears...How can I write about my good qualities without sounding biased?

Hmm.. Just don't be over cocky. Try to look at yourself from an outsider point of view. Also, what I would do is just write one, and then go to the dentist and see if he can just edit it a little and talk about it with him. That way you give him some ideas, and he verifies them, or tells you where he would change it.

EEk!! That does sound confusing! Just be honest and don't be too hard on your self 🙂
