Hi guys, I'm trying to get my application submitted in the next few days but my letters of rec are not ready. Does anyone know if the deadlines for professors letters are different from the application deadline?

I don't know the answer to this for sure, but most likely they are due the same time as the application.

How long ago did you request them? Are none of them ready or just one?

I'm pretty sure (most places) are going to want all the application materials in by the deadline. If it comes down to waiting a day or two for the last letter, you can call them, but I doubt they're equipped to hold off for a month while you get around to getting that letter to them.

Many schools have a slightly later deadline for submission of letters. For example Rochester's policy is " The University of Rochester's supplemental application deadline is November 15, 2009 and letters of recommendation must be received by AMCAS no later than December 1, 2009." (OP) However, think about being in this position. You will literally be among the last handful of complete applicants. You don't want to be in that position under any circumstances.
