I asked my prof for a letter of rec the first week of May. She told me yes, and to send her my personal statement and resume by the following Monday because she was going to be in her office. I told her she didn’t have to turn it into interfolio until June 15 as well. It’s May 26th, and I’m freaking out that she might not turn it in because why ask for everything so quick? Maybe I’m just anxious since LOR are out of my control. What do you think?

P.S: she retired this spring so I wouldn’t be able to see her.

From what I've heard you can always add LOR at anytime, even after you submit the primary, so don't worry about it

Take a deep breath. She probably needs the info early because many students ask her for Recs and she keeps a folder on her computer for each one with everything she needs to write the letter.

There’s still 3 weeks between now and the deadline you gave her. It will be OK. Send her a gentle reminder or stop by her office the week of if u really want to make sure.
