So, my organic chem prof wrote me a letter and submitted it to AMCAS using the letter writer application online. He also mailed a copy to AMCAS. After talking to the people at AMCAS, there are two letters (the exact same letter) under the slot for his letter on my application. Is this a problem? Will adcoms get confused/bothered by this? Should I make a new slot for him and have him resubmit it only through the internet this time?

AMCAS also said they can't remove one or delete an entire entry, which is irritating.

Any thoughts? They are the same letter, so it's not that big of a deal I guess. Do any adcoms ( cough* LizzyM *cough) have any experience with this?

Thanks!

I don't see why it would reflect negatively on you for something your letter writer did. With that said, I don't think this is going to be a problem anyway.

Agree. Chalk it up to working the bugs out of a new system; it doesn't reflect poorly on you.

So don't worry about it? I guess since they are the same letter it's not that big of a deal.

I'd still like to hear an adcom's opinion if there they read it as well.
