As my sn may suggest, I fail. And I'm applying this upcoming cycle. I'm aware the rule of thumb is 2 sci letters (teaching) + 1 humanities/other

I had counted on a sci prof to write a rec letter for me (which would have been killer...if admissions were based on rec letters alone, I'd get into Harvard LOL). But due to circumstances, I can no longer ask this person.

What should I do?
a) ask the Dean of biology to write me one, who knows me fairly well, but has not taught me. I did a lot of (volunteer) work for the department.
b) ask a professor who barely knows me, but taught me. He knows I did well and has asked me to be a TA for him in the future.
c) suck up to a professor this semester as much as I can and then ask.
c) I'm fine, and I don't need to suck up to any more profs. (will have 5 letters by June/July, incl. 2 PIs, 1 biology lab professor, 1 English prof, 1 clinical volunteering prof)

Co-signee letter written by the TA but signed by a professor. I'm sure most of us over our years at school have had better relationships with our TAs then most of our professors. But yeah, I'm trying to figure out one science letter of rec too... and quickly

well if you have a committee letter or a letter from a prehealth adviser im pretty sure thats all you need since it is the more preferred option over 2 science and 1 humanities. That is to say for schools that specify this on their websites, which is all the ones I am looking at.
