I am having an extremely tough time getting a non-science professor letter due to extenuating circumstances. I am in contact with probably my only option for this, my psychology instructor from last semester. They have essentially agreed to write my letter, but there is an issue. Somehow despite being the actual instructor for the course, my potential letter writer is actually currently a doctoral student and only technically has a master's degree as of now. I'm not sure how this works at my university, but they are the legitimate tenured instructor for the course, which is not a weird course or anything but is a totally standard psychology course (intro to psych). They are not a TA at all. Is this going to be acceptable for the non-science professor letter or no? Has anyone else ever been in this position? Thanks in advance for any help.
