Letter of recommendation when a professor says send me what you want me to write in it

What should I send? What kind of substance makes a letter of recommendation a "strong" rec letter.

I usually provide professors with a copy of my resume, and a more detailed list of ECs/activities/awards. I've never had one ask me explicitly what to write in it, however. A strong rec letter would include what differentiates you from the other hundred students in his class.

I recommend giving them this sheet as well - helps letter writers with a more effective letter instead of "airix = good student. woot." Not to mention, it gave me a couple ideas of how to shape personal statements/secondary questions to address these qualities! Good luck!
