HEY ALL!!! havent posted in awhile. I had a quick question about the 2 science professor letters we are suppose to obtain. I had one letter from a neuro/physio and behavior teacher, and one from my upper div nutrition science class that feel under "other science" category. However, i am not sure if the nutrition science class will qualify as a science professor. PLEASE HELP!! do i need to get another one???? THANKS!!

I thought that generally the science LOR are reserved for or should be from laboratory sciences...am I mistaken?

i'm using a letter from a nutrition prof, too. my opinion is that if it counts as an 'other science'...'science' being the key word--then schools that request and don't specify 'bio/chem/physics' should accept it. my nutrition class was heavy chemistry/biochem. i emailed des moines about my letter sources because their LOR instructions seemed more specific and their response was "I would anticipate that the letters which you have indicated here would meet our request for letters of recommendation." sure it would've been great to have a second so-called "hard science" teacher my second science LOR--but i've been out of school and out of those classes for a few years now and i turned to a professor that knows me as more than just 'she got an A in my class and seems like a nice person.'
