I'm not sure where else to post this. I'm a former military guy, and every now and then one of us former soldiers has a soldier specific question. So... Mods and forum members what do you guys think of a stickied thread of a former military Q&A?

Edit: I only bring it up because I see the frequency of "Former "military branch" "mos" looking for advice threads. (I know I've created one too! lol)

Welcome. There's actually a marine to med thread sticky among @QofQuimica 's awesome list of stickies. I don't see any reason we couldn't broaden it to include all service members.

I need to start flogging @wholeheartedly harder to get the stickies updated (ahem ahem!), and we're happy to add any particular threads that you feel are helpful to the current stickies. (The USMC to MD thread is definitely not only for marines.) However, in order to avoid cluttering up the forum with a zillion stickies, all of which then get ignored because it's so hard to filter through them all, it's better logistics-wise if we have a few well-organized stickies with links to appropriate threads rather than individually sticking every helpful thread out there.

Oh yeah. No problem. I just see a lot more threads getting posted. I, like others, probably missed it because we didn't look hard enough.
