Letterhead?

I know that a letter of rec should be on letterhead. Here's my question .....

If a former boss is writing a letter of rec and no longer works at the location where I worked for him & therefore no longer has access to letterhead, is it okay if it's just in a standard business format & not on letterhead?

my employer just typed it on the regular computer paper & then put his name, address, & position at the bottom & signed it....i didnt tell him anything about letter head. i think it should be ok. I am not sure though. Anyone help us out here!

Not every business has their own stationery anyway. My boss was actually fired from his position, but man did he write a killer letter!
