could anyone help me clarify this:
so sf Match says 3 "original" letters...if im planning on giving 2 ophtho and 1 medicine for this, which letters do I used for trans/prelim? My medicine letter is at school in my personal file so do I ask them to give it to me, and then since this would be an "original" letter, do I need to ask that medicine person to write me another letter for the eras applic because I would have used the original letter? How many and which letters do people often use for trans/prelim?

On the eras website, i noticed there was a transitional program list, but not prelim. there was only internal medicine listed. does this count as prelim? i thought prelim was a separate entity on eras?
Sorry for the confusing questions, but if anyone could help, I would really appreciate it bc i am sooo confused!!
~Thanks guys,

1. you need the original for sf match and your school can make a copy for ERAS trans/prelim since it's electronic and can be scanned...

2. i used a medicine, OB, ophtho, family medicine for my trans/prelim

3. when you select the internal medicine section on eras, there is a check box whether you are applying to their prelim program only.

just be aware that you will be paying for both transitional and prelim programs separately (meaning 4 trans + 6 prelims do not equal 10...they count them separately)
