I'm so confused -.- Can someone please help me explain this question?

What's the Lewis Acid among NaAlCl4, HF, and BF3?

The answer is BF3 but i dont understand why.. HF could be an acid too...

Can you please explain to me why NaAlCl4 and HF cannot be acidic in this case?

HF is an acid but not LEWIS acid. What is a Lewis acid? they are electron-pair acceptors. The other one is a salt NaAlCl4? Only BF3 fits the bill.

It's an octet rule problem. Atoms like to have their outer octet filled, BF3 has 6 e-, if it accepts another pair it'll have 8.
 
Oh ok, but not being a Lewis acid doesnt make it a lewis base right? Cuz i will not understand either if it is a lewis base :|

Ua`. Premed hay Prepharm? Man, coi bo^. you still have a long road ahead LOL. Just kidding. No, that doesn't make it a lewis base ... It's still an acid b/c it can donate its proton (Lowry-Brønsted acid) - Just not a Lewis one. Lewis bases are e- pair donors
