Can someone please explain the difference between a Lewis base and a reductant. If they were both present in the answer choices, what is the determining factor in choosing one over the other? Thanks!

Lewis bases donate electrons to form a covalent bond with a Lewis acid whereas reducing agents transfer the electrons completely to an atom/molecule. At least this is the distinction I am aware of.
