Would receiving an undergraduate library research prize from your university (for "demonstrating a strategic and effective use of library resources for research on campus") be a good thing to list on the AMCAS Activities section as an award under its own slot?
I'm not sure because while it is a selective prize, it is also pretty niche, so it's not a well known or nationally prestigious award. Is this the type of thing that would make an applicant "stand out" to adcoms or just look like padding? @LizzyM
More details on the prize to put it in context: It's only awarded to 4 students per year, and eligibility to apply for it is based on participation in a campus research program and nomination by a faculty member. It's not a prize given for your specific research project, but for how you used library resources for your research.
