the question asks if 1 mol of N2 reacts with 1 mole of H2, what is the maximum number of NH3 that can be produce. the answer is 2/3
can someone please explain how you get that?

Use the stoicheometric coefficients from the balanced chemical equation. 2 mol of NH3 is made from 3 moles of H2.

1 mole H2 x 2mol NH3/3mol H2 = 0.667 mol NH3.

Since the H2 is limiting, you should use it to start your stoicheometry. I don't know how else to explain it...
