So I know that the TFE portion of the DAT is supposedly "line counting proof" now. However, I noticed when using the PAT generator on Bootcamp for the TFE section, it works a very high percentage of the time. I'm just wondering if this section of the DAT study prep on Bootcamp is not accurate with what is on the actual DAT.

Thanks!

Don't trust the generators to be representative of the actual test. They are good for having unlimited practice, but always remember that a computer program generates them. What's in the actual Bootcamp practice tests is what you should use as your basis. This is relatively recent, and I wouldn't gain artificial confidence with programs like crack pat which is dated. DAT Genius also has good TFE questions and solutions that don't allow line counting on questions

Never count on line counting as you will be caught off guard on the real deal. DAT Achiever also provides good practice on TFE that prevents line counting with great 2D and 3D solutions.

I used line counting as a quick way to eliminate obvious answers on the DAT. Sometimes I got it down to 2 answers, sometimes it didn't help, and sometimes I got the answer with just line counting! Don't rely on it solely but its a good strategy to have in your toolbox. I got a 25 on my PAT so I think it worked...

Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely know how to use it but will try not to rely on it during practice
