So, how does it work? like i have 2-3 who have agreed to give me sterling letters, but i am unsure of how to direct them to the place where i submit. will there be a section for it on my AAMC application? or is it a different website entirely.

Also, for AACOMAS will i have to start from scratch on the DO schools application, or is there a way to transfer over the AAMC application? Ive never done this before and my Pre-med advisors are never very helpful, so I have no idea where to start after my MCAT in June.

Having your LOR writers submit your LOR electronically is probably the most efficient way. They can either submit them directly to AMCAS or go through Interfolio. I used Interfolio and would recommend it. Using Interfolio will allow you to store your LOR in case you need to reapply and you can re-use your LOR for the next application cycle. If your LOR writers submit your letters directly to AMCAS, they would have to re-upload them the next time.

To use Interfolio, you would enter your LOR writer's email and Interfolio will send them instructions on how to upload your LOR. You get a confirmation email once the letter has been uploaded. Then you electronically send your LOR to AMCAS and you'll get another confirmation email after the LOR have been sent.

Not sure about submitting LOR for AACOMAS.

It's virtually the same thing to send letters from Interfolio to AACOMAS as it is sending it to AMCAS. My professors who have just submitted the letters for me onto Interfolio have all said it was extremely easy and simple to use on their end. Which made me feel relieved, the last thing I wanted was a convoluted and stressful set of hoops to jump through just to submit a LOR for me.

I suggest Interfolio as well, however, there are additional fees with this method. But when it comes to the beginning of the application cycle, you have to succumb to the fact that you will be spending money this upcoming year, and a lot of it.
