To answer your question, No. As a professional and/or looking for a job as a physician, I did not use linkedin. I am a member - but never found it useful.

LinkedIn is primarily used in the world of 9-5 jobs (business, engineering, nonprofit, etc.) - I have an account with a large network gathered from my policy days, and with quite a few friends in law, but I don't have any friends in med school on it
