Hi guys, so I started a volunteering group during COVID where we would raise funds and donate meals + groceries to people in need during COVID. A local news agency covered it and interviewed me for it. I was wondering if it would be okay for me to link the article in my activities section -- just to give some more context to my activity. I was already planning to make it one of my most meaningful activities but I feel like this could really help it out.

Thanks 🙂

I do not recommend links in applications. It requires reviewers to completely examine them (as part of due diligence). With hundreds of applications to review, this adds an unnecessary burden.

Makes sense thanks

I had a similar question for a similar activity. My health advisor told me to put it in if I had space in a general format e.g. "recognized...etc." I decided not to, since I doubt it would actually make a difference and on paper it sounded like I was just putting it in for the sake of putting it there. If I get any interviews, it'll be a good place to bring it up imo.

Thats true, thanks!

As you were an interviewee, the source of information is hardly objective. I would not include it. And who would want to follow an unknown link, anyway?
