hello everyone, i received an interview invite today scheduled for this thursday Nov 19 (very short notice, i know) I was wondering if someone who have interviewed here or any of the current students could tell me anything about the interview? Do we have to write an essay? this is my first interview so i am very very nervous. the anxiety is killing me right now.

I will see you there. I am flying in Wednesday morning. Sorry I don't have any info though. I have a friend that is graduating from Lipscomb in May and he says to just have a clear idea of why you want to pursue Pharmacy and why you think Lipscomb is the best school for you.

hey dallice! its funny how we end up with same interview dates in lipscomb as well. i looked into their program and it really appealed to me. i'm hoping i get accepted. if you dont mind me asking, what other schools did you apply to?

Yeah I am really excited about Lipscomb. The have great residency and job placement stats. They school looks amazing from what I can see. I have interviews at University of Hawaii and Wingate. I am waiting to hear back from Roseman and Campbell. I just submitted to Campbell and Roseman was waiting on a test score so I hope to hear from them soon too. But I at this point Lipscomb is my #1. I love the idea of being in a growing healthcare city like Nashville.

Best of luck you guys! I had to bump my Lipscomb interview til Dec...want to hear back from the 2 I interviewed at last week before I spend more money traveling! Would love to hear what you think after your interviews, if you're willing to share!

I was given the opportunity to interview on 12/15/15 (with only 6 days notice). The staff was extremely friendly, and the interview was much like a conversation instead of an interrogation. This was my first interview. They called back the next day to tell me I had been accepted!!!! 🙂

It was a partially blind interview, meaning they knew some of what was on the application but not all details. The actual interviewing part only lasted about 30 minutes.

I am a P1 this year at Lipscomb and absolutely love it here. I'm just posting to warn anyone else that gets a short notice interview from LUCOP that you are able to reschedule to another day with no consequences. The school invites you to the very next interview date. They are a great school and have a really friendly, family atmosphere where you can feel free to ask questions and get private help from professors anytime you feel you need.

Hey, I am interviewing on the 25th of this month. Do you happen to have any advice in regards to the interview process?

@trc1946,
The Interview is pretty informal. Come ready to talk about yourself. Lipscomb is a big family and are really interested in who you are and who you'll be as a pharmacist. Take it seriously, but don't stress yourself out.

I am applying to Lipscomb next year. Would anyone mind pming their GPA/PCAT so I can have an idea where I stand as far as numbers go. Would you recommend doing a tour of the school before applying?

Also do you know if they focus on your overall GPA, prereq GPA, or sciences GPA?

Hey guys, I was a p1 at Lipscomb University and due to some unfortunate circumstances I did not pass the semester. Hopefully I will be back this year with this years class. However, I wanted to tell you guys about the environment at Lipscomb. It is very family oriented and the professors truly care about you and the whole school is one great big pharmily. The professors will truly help out with anything you need. What I would recommend doing before starting is to study on organic structures as they will be in medchem throughout the semester and later and are the base knowledge throughout. I also would recommend studying the amino acids. The hardest classes will probably will be medchem, biochem, and immunology/microbiology. PM me if you have any questions about the program, I will try to help the best I can. If I get another chance at the program again, I will try to help anyone in our class so they don't make the same mistakes I made.
