how long did it take to hear from them? i have my applications done and submitted they are just waiting on my pcat scores.. Congrats to you guys for getting interviews!

Hmm... my stuff had been submitted since August...and they got my PCAT scores in Oct. sometime..they just called me on Monday I think.

This is the 1st round of interviews... and with your stats I'm sure you'll get one soon!!! Good luck!

Yeah im hoping to get one soon because I want next semester off! need two classes for samford but already done with lipscombs and belmonts prereqs. Dont really look for an interview from belmont though because im from a community college. Good luck with your interview let me know how it goes!
 
Laura called me this morning! I'll be at the Dec. 3 interview also. Not much time to prepare! :scared:
 
I have a 3.79 GPA. However, my PCAT score is only average. I have interviews at Belmont and UT coming up. This will be my first interview. I've worked for HCA for almost 6 years as a pharmacy technician at two different hospitals. I've been certified since 2006. I am from around Nashville so I am VERY excited about the interview! How about you?? Congrats to you as well!
 
They got my supplemental application on the 20th and Ms. Ward called me that same afternoon. They are super fast and so nice. Good luck to everybody! 🙂

I'm not sure about Lipscomb.... but I went to an interview @ Mercer and they had 20 or so... and Midwestern was exceptionally big with probably almost 40. I think I'd expect between 10-20?

Total guess though... but I'll be there for sure, as well as my boyfriend! 🙂

Just got a phone call from Laura saying that I was accepted to Lipscomb!!!!! 🙂 My boyfriend also interviewed yesterday & got the same phone call at 3 pm!!!!!!!!!!

I remember on the interview invites..my bf got one on Fri & I got one on Mon.. so there's still hope! 🙂

What groups were you guys in in the interview... I was in "C". I wonder if we met! 🙂

I was also in "c". I was the red headed guy. You? So you think they go in order of interview invites? because I was one of the last to get one... lol (trying to find hope somewhere)

I'm pretty sure we did meet briefly at the beginning of the day...Unless there was someone else from Michigan who's boyfriend was also there, haha. I was in group "B", no real distinguishing features though...I had a purple tie if anyone remembers that.

Was it Joshua? I am from MI.. my bf was also there for an interview. I was wearing a skirt suit... hmm? haha.

There's still PLENTY of hope! We were the very first interview! I think we have lots of room to breathe 🙂

And I think I do remember actually the purple tie. Brown hair, kind of tall? You were standing to the left of the table with the grapes and snacks if we were facing Laura when we first met?

I was at the Dec. 3rd interview in Group C and also got the phone call Friday telling me I got in 😀

I am totally in LOVE w/ Lipscomb....have been for a few years actually! Since I'm from MI, there are 2 schools in MI that cost only $65,000 (+ books/fees)... as I would be able to stay at home and accrue no additional costs that way....so I would probably choose to go there just due to financials.

On the other hand, I love Lipscomb so much that I am actually hoping that I don't get in..in state... bc I would have to go to a MI school (Wayne State) if I got in there. It'd be nice if I didn't have to make that choice, bc Lipscomb is awesome and I know I would like it 10x better than MI schools. I guess time will tell. Good luck to you, you have PLENTY of time left in the cycle.. I wouldn't be nervous (although I do realize that is impossible & I really hate when people tell me that).

Haha they must! I don't know yet. The day before the Lipscomb interview I got an e-mail saying I have one at UofM. So... I will see. Mostlikely it will be between Lipscomb and UofM.
 
I got an e-mail from Laura (I'm sure everyone did) saying they put our letters in the mail!! Man I'm about to have an anxiety attack just waiting...

Yeah, I remember that convo, thank you for being so friendly. Once I got there though I was worried that it was a bad thing that they came, you know, the "not independent" deal, plus I'm from a CC. But I was very glad they did. I'm blessed with a supportive family 😀

Aw, np! 🙂 Yes, I know what you mean.. but I think at a school like Lipscomb.. they appreciate that a lot. They obviously care very much about their students.. and we'll be very lucky to attend such a great university!

so i interviewed at lipscomb thursday...and i didnt hear back on friday so im really freakin out....thing is....my school committee didnt send their letter for me for my lor until jan 3, and it has to go all the way through pharmcas before reaching the school so im sure they hadnt recieved it before my interview..im really nervous that this has hurt my chance of getting in because im afraid they may put me on the waitlist because of it although i felt the interview went well. 🙁

i was scared to death before the interview. but it was very relaxed and conversation like. ur the only person interviewed at your time and u either have two adcom ppl and a student or just 2 adcom ppl. they have a very nice tour and you write one essay. you get into groups a b or c and do either ur interview, essay, or campus tour first. everyone is EXTREMELY friendly there. i really hope i get in. good luck to you too! hope this helped
 
Is the school very concerned with your religion? Did it come up during the interview? I sent my application in monday and I haven't heard anything yet 🙁
 
well i dont think they are necessarily concerned with what your religion is but they do have a faith based approach to their learning. as far as teaching you to be a good pharmacist and make good decisions in the workplace and be compassionate for others but as far as judging you based on what you believe i do not think they do. everyone there is extremely nice and love what they do.
 
I found out today I was accepted!!!!! Lipscomb here I come!!!
 
they had told us that it would be two weeks to hear back and today was over two weeks so i called and asked my status. she said on my interview day they had originally deferred me (probably because they hadnt gotten my academic letter in the mail yet from my school) but she said that they had met again yesterday and accepted me and that It was perfect timing cuz I was actually on her list of people to contact today....So look out you could be on that list to call too.... but they let you call and see your status too....If you want to do that
