List of interview questions

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hi all, I have some interviews coming up in the next few months. Can we start a thread on some of the interview questions you have already experienced?

My least favorite question: "tell me about yourself"

There is an interview feedback database on SDN. Click the "Pharmacy" tab, and you will find it under "Resources." When you find the interview feedback thread for the specific school you are applying to, do what I did and write down all the questions from every single interview, no matter how old. Formulate your answers and practice them. I would have bombed my interview if I hadn't done this.

Some interview questions I've had are:
Why pharmacy?
Why this school?
Have you ever made a mistake? What did you do to fix it?
Is there anything else about you that you want me to tell the admissions committee?
Tell me/us about yourself
Have you ever showed leadership in any capacity? How?
What would you fix about the profession when you become a pharmacist?
Have you ever had a conflict with a colleague/coworker? What did you do about it?
What do you know about the pharmacy profession?

Others (not pharmacy) are:
Describe your most rewarding experience
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
If there was one thing you could change about yourself, what would it be?
In the healthcare team, who is most important, the practitioner or the patient?

If you saw a 100 dollar bill at the bottom of an outhouse toilet, would you jump in and grab it?

Not to mention What do you consider to be your greatest achievement, and how did you earn it? What was a big challenge in your life and how did you overcome it? Are you more of a take the bull by the horns person or a person who sits back and watches? What is the biggest problem in healthcare, and what would you suggest to fix it? I had tons of these, and the SDN interview feedback forum is the best place to review questions. They were accurate for the 3 interviews I had.🙂

One pharmacy student told me that a question he was asked was "If you could be any animal, what would you be?" I think it was meant to help kill the interviewee's anxiety and to see if he/she can come up with a creative answer.

Why not doctor? Where do you see yourself in 5 years? If you have a chance to change something in the past, what would you change? Tell us about 1 impression thing about you so that we can remember you?
