I'd like to know about this too...I've never found a list either. If you check out places like fastweb.com, it seems like most advertised scholarships are aimed towards undergrads and high school students. The ones open to medical students tend to be more like "contests," where you write an essay on a particular topic, etc. For example, there used to be a "medical student ethics essay contest" at JAMA, but it seems to have been stopped now that the "Student JAMA" portion of the journal has been shut down.

Non-institutional Scholarships, apart from the military and the National Health Service Corps, don't really exist. You can find some research type scholarships from all the specialty organizations but this is typically for research done by medical students in medical school. You can also check for scholarships offered at the local level from organizations like Kiwanis, Rotary Club, etc. Check with the financial aid office at your school to see what scholarships medical students have received in the past.

If you go to school east of the mississippi and have an interest in fine arts and have considered going into primary care or psychiatry, there is a Joseph Collins Foundation scholarship. You can get as much as 10k per year for your second, third and fourth year.... so 30k total.
