List of schools requiring ALL pre-reqs at time of application

What....goddammit. I applied to Cornell this cycle and am taking orgo lab this spring semester (although orgo 1,2 were done a couple of years ago)..Could you post the link to where they say that they require courses done at application time? Thanks!

  • Penn State - all courses done by "end of calendar year prior to matriculation" (i.e. finish by end of 2016 if applying in 2017)

This sounds more like if you apply summer of 2016 with plans to matriculate in 2017, that the pre-reqs need to be complete by the end of 2016, not prior to applying.

I'm in the same boat! Thanks for posting / starting this thread

http://weill.cornell.edu/education/admissions/app_faq.html - Looks like they're like Penn State in that you have to complete them by January 31 of the year you matriculate (so by January 31 this year?)

Welp...what do you think I should do in this situation? Email them or just let it be? In my AMCAS I did specify that I was planning to take orgo lab senior spring.

Sorry bro, I'm but a noob myself so I would ask somebody else. Did you get accepted to Cornell? If you did, then no problem.

But this seems like such a minute issue that they might make an exception.

Hi all,

I personally still have one last pre-req to complete prior to applying next cycle and, as such, was researching schools that, in some way, shape, or form, required all pre-reqs to either be completed when you apply or to have them all done by a certain deadline (e.g. January prior to matriculation).

It's my understanding that most schools are okay with you not having done them all as long as you PLAN to finish prior to matriculation. I still thought it'd be a nice idea to get a running list of schools in the minority who do require courses to be done, though. Are there any other ones you guys have in mind?
  • Temple- application "on hold" until all pre-reqs complete
  • Penn State - all courses done by "end of calendar year prior to matriculation" (i.e. finish by end of 2016 if applying in 2017)
  • Cornell - all courses done by January 31 of year you plan to matriculate
I have an interview to Temple and all my pre-reqs are not complete.... so I'm not so sure that one is true
