Hello,

I am applying to dental school this year after being rejected las cycle (Michigan resident). My overall GPA is 3.14 with a BCP of 3.06. My first semester of graduate classes, I received a 3.75 and will be enrolling at Barry Universities SMP program starting this fall. I have extensive EC with 3 years experience as a Dental Assistant along with shadowing hours in all areas of dentistry, volunteering, mission trip, Div I Student-athlete (4 years, soccer) etc.

My most recent scores for the DAT are 19 AA, 19 TS, 22 PA. Here is the list of schools I have so far. Considering my stats, could you guys please advise me on what schools to stay away from or which ones I should add.

Midwestern (AZ), Midwestern (IL), LECOM, NOVA, Indiana University, Boston University, Tufts, Detroit Mercy, University of Michigan, New York, Stony Brook, Case Western, South Carolina.

Since you are a Michigan resident, you should remove MUSC and Stony Brook. They are relatively OOS unfriendly.

Definitely dump Stony Brook, very OOS unfriendly and have high requiremtns to begin with. Check out Roseman and Western in addition to the schools the other commenters have suggested.
