I need help figuring out which schools to apply to for sure and which ones to definitely not apply.

oGPA: 3.45
Tons of volunteer, leadership, and shadowing hours. Worked 28 hours a week through school. I am also married.

I have leadership experience related to religious stuff and I also went to a bible college at one point so I will apply to Loma Linda. I am from Texas so I am applying to all Texas Schools and Oklahoma. My wife's family is from Tennessee so I intend on applying to both Tennessee schools as well. I have other schools in mind but what like to hear from the SDN community.

What other schools come to mind that I should absolutely apply to or not apply to?

Apply wherever makes you happy. We can't dictate where you should go to school (since you might not be happy there) but rather we can tell you if you have a decent shot of getting in with your stats to a particular school. Just go through the list of all US schools, start choosing schools by location, narrow down by whether you meet the requirements for admission, then by other factors like weather/cost/class size/amount of clinical time/job outlook maybe for your wife. Then list them here on SDN and we'll let you know what schools you have a good shot at. Also, be aware of schools that prefer instate residents like Oklaholma and Mississippi (usually states that have only 1 dental school, especially if they're public schools, will prefer instate residents).

Thanks for the feedback, I was actually working on that as I posted the thread but here is my giant list of schools (other than Texas and Tennessee schools) that I need help dwindling down. The bolded ones are ones I am already considering taking off of the list. Considering my stats, are there others that should absolutely be taken off of the list? Or ones that are bolded that should stay?

I agree with all the bolded schools except Temple and Rutgers (unless you really don't want to apply there).

• Take out WVU (prefers in-state).
• Howard (prefers minorities).
• UNC (very competitive for out of state applicants but that's all up to you).
• Maryland and Louisville (this may be biased but I never got an interview invite (I received interviews to 9/11 schools I applied to...Louisville included so I'm not sure what they're looking for).
• Missouri also prefers in state students.
