Hey all!

I was wondering what people's thoughts on the list of schools I am applying to, and chances to get into them!

University of Detroit Mercy
Columbia University
New York University
University of Buffalo
Case School of Dentistry
Ohio State University
Temple University
University of Pennsylvania
Marquette University
University of Connecticut
Tufts University
Boston University

Thanks!

perhaps you should post your stats if you want people to comment on your chances?

Sorry about that. Here it is:

GPA 3.9

RC 22
BIO 19
CHEM 21
ST 19
AA 21
PAT 23
CARVING 22

Canadian applicant.
Finishing up a 2 year MSc.

Thanks

As a Canadian, you should also apply to Pittsburgh, Creighton and Nova. With a GPA of 3.9, you should also make a stab at Harvard.

Which Canadian university did you attend, btw?

Thanks for the reply. In regards to pitts, I can't apply because I don't have references for the perquisite courses.

Harvard...I might consider that actually. But the chances arent very high are they? I was from Queen's

With a 3.9, I think you'll have a decent chance. Harvard is actually easier to get in than U of T and perhaps even Western Ont. Besides, it really doesn't hurt to apply.

As a Canadian resident, you need to remove Ohio State and UConn.

Not at all trying to deter the OP from applying. Just saying that it's not easier for a Canadian with high stats to get into H over those Canadian schools. The stats don't show their international admissions with Canada to be very favorable.

You will be fine!! Don't worry!!! You should also apply to Midwestern!!! They're starting something special overthere in AZ.

Well I will give Harvard a shot...I am just hoping that I will be able to get into at least one of those schools...

Thanks for the input..Going to e-submit soon.. early enough?

Don't apply at NYU, Temple, BU and Tufts as they don't call people with high stats on interview. And have you checked OOS fee at OHSU. Its almost 100,000 every year. I am also a Canadian applicant. I think you should apply at Harvard definitely. I also believe you should cut down UConn as it prefers more of the in state applicants. You should also apply at Maryland as every year it accepts 3-4 Canadian applicants.

But Midwestern doesn't accept Canadian DAT. For it you have to take American DAT.

Well, those four schools accept the most Canadian applicants every year LOL. And you think with a 21 AA, OP has a better chance at Harvard than those four? Sounds like you are trying to sabatage your competition! J/K

LOL ...Im asking for advice, but i am not stupid 😛

Don't be just kidding. People should be called out when they give awful advice on here. OP try not to listen to idiots (which is impossible to do around here). Go to doc toothaches little pride and glory page of international admissions. Find schools with a good amount of Canadian students and apply to a range of schools from easier to harder in terms of admissions. End of story.
