List of Secondaries asking for SAT Scores

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
man I'm screwed if med schools want to know my SAT score. I do not think they would care about these, but I may be wrong.

are you kidding me?! Lol.
OP, your SAT is history. It's likely not even valid at this pt (score expires). A GRE score would be usable but wouldn't offer much the MCAT Verbal doesn't already tell.

I think Jefferson did. I may be wrong though, can't remember.

I think SAT scores are a reflection of the consistency of your overall character. In other words, if you have constantly been doing well throughout high school and college. I think this is somewhat relevant.

I suppose so. Just a bit odd to me, nonetheless if they want them they want them.

really? They ask for an SAT score. What does this have anything to do with getting accepted to medical school?
The SAT correlates with intelligence better than the MCAT, with the exception of possibly the VR section.

they use your SAT score as the daily pick 4 numbers. sometimes pick 3, if you are unfortunate or my buddy D. Rose

Oh, well what about the ACT? I actually never took the SAT.

So you are saying that if someone pulled a 2250 on their SAT, and say a 29 on the MCAT. Med schools would look at the SAT and see that they are intelligent enough for med school and completely ignore MCAT. I do not think that's right. That is actually quite absurd. If I am perceiving what you implied correctly.

I found this to be very irritating as a non-trad. I have long since forgotten my SAT scores even though they were good. When I applied to Jefferson, I just estimated them :-/ and hoped if I was accepted, it wouldn't become a problem.

2250? Aren't you a young one! I took the one out of 1600.

Hmmmm, I wonder if I'm one of those rareities who never took the SATs. If they ask, I'll just have to tell them this.

I did jr. college then university.

okay then perhaps 1580. old chap. 🙂

Hey did anyone else report GRE scores? I didn't see anything about having to send an official score report.

Yeah, weird huh? I think I literally dropped a "WTF" (in nonacronym speak) when I opened Jefferson's secondary. Luckily, my numbers were pretty easy to remember so I just stuck them on there from memory (These are scores from 8 years ago. Haha.)

So just pooling:

1. Jefferson
2. Wake Forest
3. Wash U
4. VCU
5. University of South Carolina (and ACT)
6. Penn state (optional)

well darn. I guess I will stay away from applying to those schools. I completely bombed the ACT. hah

Well I can't remember my score and my HS is closed for the summer (at least I think it is since no one returns my calls and emails). Hope this lame request doesn't delay my apps. 😡

collegeboard.com should have your scores, unless you don't have an account with them.

your college should also have them on file.

Called them and apparently they don't have my scores anymore. I started college in 2000 so it's been a while.😕

I also have never been on college board so I'm guessing they wouldn't have my scores. ahhh!

they have an archive. call them. collegeboard, that is.

What did you all get on the SAT? I mean if its typical of SDN then I am about to hear from the top .000000000000001 %.. Those people who didn't even take the SAT and had a perfect score.

i never took the sat. i didn't even graduate from high school, woo!

try 1 (freshman): 1260
try 2 (sophomore): 1340 (660m, 680v)
try 3 (junior): 1430 (780m, 650v)

I never knew people studied for it though... probably wouldn't have gotten pounded by the verbal.

btw, congrats! on your accept! i haven't been around for a while so i missed it 😀

oof. I got a 900 and something on the SATs but that was a long time ago. **** disclosing SAT scores.

Called college board. Apparently they charge to give your scores over the phone. Very tempted to just put xxxx as my score. If the schools want it that bad, they can pay the damn fee! 😡

Me too. In fact, my scores were 28 years old at the time I applied. I put them down because I had to, but what possible value could they have at this point???

I'll have to remind myself to remember my SAT scores then. They were pretty good, so I'd be happy to disclose that information.
