So, I'm sitting here studying and this question just popped into my head. Does anyone actually look at the list of topics provided by the NBME or NBOME to focus their studying?? They come out with a list every year telling you what topics could be potentially covered on the exam. Though it's long, wouldn't it make sense to make sure to know all of these topics well to provide some sort of focused studying? I haven't done it myself, but in thought it makes sense.

Has anyone thought about this or actually done this?

I looked at it for NBME when med school started. Its HUGE and SCARY.

NBOME doesn't have any.

I saw the list last year and they might as well have said go study every textbook in medical school, not worth it
