Should I or should I not list my "future" (but recently assigned) role in extracurricular activities? I have two positions in school clubs that I technically currently am, but haven't done any work for (meaning no hours to list) because we elect in June then have summer break.
I think one of them is particularly relevant (a pre-dental society officer position).
And yes, I am not yet done with my AADSAS. Shoot me now.

Sure, say what you just said. You do have more ECs right? Pretty much any EC will count more if you've already done it and it shows passion and dedication. Honestly future roll as a club officer doesn't stand out as much as maybe the last 2 yrs that you were active on your hop-scotch team.

List it and explain it. You can even say any goals that you would like to achieve in your position, but focus more on what you have done and how it might relate.

Yeah, these future positions are at the bottom of my ExC list. (Does it bother anyone else that they want you to list it in order of importance rather than chronological order? heh..)
I just wanted a second opinion... wondering if adcoms would find it funny that I listed them at all.
Thanks for the advice!

Don't do it, unless you really don't have anything else to put down. Like you said...you haven't done anything and you have no hours to put down. What if your interviewer asks...so what did you do as a "insert leadership position"?

I agree. 🙂
