live in western or commute?

get an apartment...if you hit traffic you're going to spend 1.5-2hrs on the road each way. that's 4 hours/day wasted on traveling when you could be studying or catching up on sleep

I agree you wouldn't want to commute. I used to live down there and traffic is a nightmare. Although I don't know if you would want to live in the on campus apartments. The Helix is the only one I know of. I went to check them out when I was still considering this school and they are overpriced and TINY. They are practically brand new though. Depends on what you value I guess. Have fun in Pomona.

My wife attends WU and she complains about driving from Chino(10mins). I recommend living in the surrounding cities. The Helix has its good points but we just didn't like it that much and there are too many criminal activities in the apartments down the street.

Chino, Chino Hills, Rancho, Claremont, La Verne, San Dimas are all great places compared to Pomona.

There are people who drive from Huntington Beach, Malibu but in my opinion they are crazy.

If you have any questions you can shoot me a PM.

I'm attending WU right now for a different program. You don't want to live in Pomona, most definately not the downtown area. Search for listings in Chino Hills, it'll bring you closer to everything else in that area, not to mention quick freeway access.

i was planning on commuting from anaheim...that is about 30 minutes w/o traffic. but then i was talking to some people and they said that there would not be any traffic when i go in the morning and come home in the evening since traffic is in the opposite direction. btw, how many hours a day do u guys study...pharm students?
