Hi folks,
For those who are technicians and have done their fingerprints through livescan and then went on to become interns through school, did you take and pay for another set of fingerprints or did you just do an FBI check? Just curious because I feel as if the prints are there with the state and I would hate to pay double. Thanks.

I did not have to pay for additional prints, as they had it on file since I was a technician in CA before starting Pharmacy school. Just make sure your Pharmacy Technician license does not expire before you get your Pharmacy Intern License- that might cause an issue.
You do have to be sure, though, that your livescan prints went to the FBI as well as the DOJ. This was a new requirement and you have to make sure that your prints went to both organizations (there are separate fees for both.) If you look at the original paperwork from when you had your livescan, there should be boxes marked which say where your fingerprints were sent to.

hth!
