Hey guys, I will probably be attending UOP next year and was curious to know how the dorm life is since that's where I'll be. When I was there, I was told not to get a meal plan since you'll never use it. Is this true? So if any UOP students can give me some information and advice (not just on food), that would be great. Thanks.

Getting the meal plan works for some people while it doesn't for others. If you're going to be living in the apartment dorms, then you'll have a kitchen in each apt to cook. It's probably just a pain to walk all the way to the cafeteria for food because it's in the undergrad campus and the timings suck (my friend would go at 5pm and get a sandwich and eat it later because the place closed pretty early and she liked to eat at about 8ish). I don't live in the dorms but I haven't really heard any complaints yet. Everyone seems to like it, I think. They are fairly new and have study rooms on each floor.
