I'm finding that, for various reasons, I can't get a private loan (I'm still technically a grad student, not a med student). does anyone know good sites for grants/scholarships that don't charge for the list?

why don't you just get a public loan?

unsub stafford
sub stafford
perkins
etc

You should check with your school's financial aid office. Most large banks (BankofAmerica, Citibank, WellsFargo, etc.) offer private student loans. For grant's and scholarshps, try www.fastweb.com . That is the official free list of scholarships.

I did get a stafford loan, which covers most of my tuition but perkins is for some reason unavailable to grad students here and I can't get the private student loans because of my credit situation (which is partially a paperwork issue).
