I have about 230k pharmacy school loan and currently working at retail (cvs). I am thinking about joining army to get loan benefit but I am really scared to be sent to different countries (war area). Do u think joining army is a good option? What is other option that I can try?

Read Dave Ramsey the Total Moneymaker. Refinance with Darien Bank or Sofi. Work OT as much as possible. Try to pay off in 5 years or less.

I graduated with 290k in debt in 2013. now I have 180k left. I want to pay off asap. Debt is a disease.

That is really good. I paid off my loans in 3 years. Do you know what? It wasn't really difficult. If you bring home $85 k a year (after taxes) and throw $50 k a year toward your loans, you still have $35 k left. Don't spend it on materialistic things like a new car, boat and you will be fine.

Spending money for an education that will allow you to make a good living is a good thing. But you must have a plan.
