Loan Repayment Programs for Dentists?

Hello All,
I am about to graduate from Dental School and Im pretty sure I will be living in a rural area (family obligations and all). I've heard about Loan Repayment programs such as NHSC/IHS ....and was wondering if someone could guide me to a path towards pursuing these further.

Although I have prowled the NHSC/IHS/HRSA websites, I cant get a clear understanding of site scores, where EXACTLY to get started and when....if you can advise on how to get started, what to look for at a site, how to not get trapped etc I would appreciate the help.

For anyone curious, i ran the numbers and with a 2 year contract it's the equivalent of a starting salary of 143k annually...so def. a viable option for many when most dentists coming out in metro areas are looking at 80k IF they can find a full time gig...
