i recently applied to umdnj gsbs in stratford nj as i have applied to medical schools but have not been succesfull thus far. i know many people who have gone through this program and had great success. however I am married and considering i have applied for entry into the spring semester I am curious to know how we live during this program. Do you recieve cost of living loans? I have been made aware that it is not a good idea to be employed while in this program (or other post bacc programs for that matter.) I am just wondering how my wife and i would live and godforbid she doesn't find a job and I am accepted for the spring semester what am I gonna do money wise etc.? its way too far to commute from where I live in NJ, about 90 mins 1 way so what goes on here? what if my wife can't find a job right away and we have to move down there cause the program is starting. i guess im worried about bill etc cause we have some but right now i work and go to school part time, me nnot working would hurt but her not working at all well we would be in a serious hole. So if she doesnt find a job right away what do we do here? would loans be able to support us until she does?

There are UMDNJ campuses in New Brunswick and Newark which both have gsbs programs.
Maybe one of them is closer...

yeah i looked into gsbs in newark (1 hour from my home) and piscataway (40 minutes from my home). I would be willing to commute to to piscataway and I am considering applying to this program also, but it does not have a spring semester (from my research). Also i have been both of those campuses and My wife and I strongly prefer south jersey as this is where we both graduated college. Thanks for your response. We are looking to move but feel stuck in our current apartment and are worried about affording our bills and the whole reason we moved up north despite not really liking North Jersey is because of employment opportunities. so Although she has a college degree, and has a succesfull career thus far we are worried about employment and how we would pay for rent for even a 1 br apartment down south.

you always have the best advice elftown, i miss you.
