Are there any cases in which students are denied forbearance or deferment of loans throughout their entire residency? It's my understanding that you defer first, then when that is through, you file for forbearance. I guess my question is do most "put off" their loans until after residency, or are there situations in which your lender doesn't approve of that and you are forced to start repayment while still in training?
