LOE and rolling admissions

Hi,

I'm a bit confused about the application process and LOE.
I've talked to my professors and two of them will be able to submit the LOE electronically. The third one will be out of the country the first week of June and won't have access to internet. I really want to get my app in as early as possible because I have a low GPA but I don't know what to do about my professor. I thought I could just have her submit hers by paper and through snail mail but then I realized I need the matching form. As far as I know, you can't get the matching form until June 1 when the app opens. If this is the case, then I won't be able to get her LOE in until the 2nd, maybe 3rd, week of June. I'm worried that my application won't be reviewed early if I don't have all my letters. Is there any way to fix this?

Also, another question. Most of the schools I am applying to require two profs and one dentist LOE. A good amount of them ask for 3 profs. I plan on just uploading all 4 letters (3 profs and 1 dentist) onto the online app. that way, the schools that require a dentist will have it and those that require 3 profs will have it. I don't know how this will be viewed by dental schools though. I know the general rule is 3 LOE...if I upload 4, will all the schools look at all 4 of them? I know this is stupid, but are they gonna get pissed that I uploaded 4? 😀

First paragraph: I think that as long as s/he submits it online within the second/third week you should be safe. You should still make the first or second batch. No worries.

Second paragraph: Again, no worries here. I submitted LoRs like you. Either the schools pick and choose, or they just read all of them. I'm not sure, but I didn't have any schools get mad or confused about my letters.

I was also thinking of getting Interfolio and having her submit to Interfolio before she leaves.
But I don't want to pay for Interfolio just for one letter...seems like a waste of $ and I will be spending plenty of money in the months to come 🙁

I honestly wouldn't worry about it. My letters were in around the 3rd week on June and I was perfectly fine.

whats your backup plan if the professor doesn't respond to you? or if his/her vacation ends up being entire summer? Be careful about this, if you apply to a school and your missing an LOR, your application will be incomplete (ie won't get reviewed) until everything is turned in.

As far the number of LORs... again, watch out for WHAT TYPE of LORs the schools require. Some want 2 science, 1 non science/dentist, others will be very specific and want 3 science and 1 optional from whom ever.
