LOE from last cycle; never submitted application. Need answer please!

Last year, I was planning to apply for Dental school. I asked my professors and dentist for letters of recommendation and they submitted it and they were received by AADSAS electronically. However, I did not submit my application last year because it was too late in the cycle when I finished taking my DAT.

I didn't know about interfolio at the time so my question is, the letters that my professors and dentist submitted electronically in my AADSAS profile, on June 4 (this cycle), will they still be in there? Or would I have to ask them to resend it electronically. I am not a re-applicant, I am a first time. But will the letters that my professors and dentist wrote for me still be there when the cycle opens up and when I log back in?

no they wont. unless you submitted your application, they will be gone. actually i think they will be gone regardless. u will need to reupload them.

That's what I was worried about. I don't know where I read last time, but someone said that the letters would be in your profile under LOEs but I can't seem to find that anymore.

I would hate to bother my dentist and professors again since it did take them quite some time to write up for me. I can only hope and pray that they saved it 🙁

I think there was someone on here claiming everything would carry over if you didn't apply. But what was said above is correct. Hopefully, they saved copies of your letters

"If your ADEA AADSAS application was MAILED to schools last cycle, you are eligible to have your application information imported to the new cycle. ADEA AADSAS cannot carry over any applications that were not mailed last cycle. You will have to create a new account and resubmit all information."

And for any re-applicants who read this thread, this is what they say for information carried over:

"Most application fields and verified transcripts (transcripts containing coursework calculated into your GPA last cycle by ADEA AADSAS) will be imported into the new application. Letters of evaluation, DAT scores, payments, and your personal statement will NOT be carried over and must be resubmitted. ADEA AADSAS does not carry over any of your letters of evaluation from the previous cycles. New letters must be submitted."

unfortunately I found out on Monday afternoon that it did not carry over 🙁

good news is, one of my LOE's were submitted yesterday so I just need to ask 2 other professors to write one for me and I am set.
