Okay so it has all these spaces for stuff like awards, scholarships, work, licenses, societies, etc

but where do I put information like volunteering and research?

I put this information down under work, but I labeled everything. You should probably put the last three positions of paid work, then title volunteering/research or seperate each one. This is what I did and it worked out for me.

Good Luck

I incorporated all those in my essay.

Hey guys, do you have your recommenders send in ur letter or you send it in yourself????

I believe you are not allowed to send them in yourself. My recommenders had to send them directly to the school. This was last year. I'm not sure if LLU still want applicants to do the same thing this year.

okay am i the only one confused by the loma linda essay topic(s)?

they give you 4 topics and you have to answer them all within 1 page, is this correct? seems like 1 page wouldn't be enough..

I was able to fit it on one page last year by writing a short paragraph for each topic, single-spaced, and widening the margins slightly. You just have to be concise and edit out a lot of the filler and fluff.

can our LOR writers submit the letters to loma linda even before i send the application? or will it get lost or discarded?

i don't plan on submitting my loma linda application for at LEAST a month from now...should i just wait and ask her to send it in a month?

reason is...i feel like i'm bothering her so i want to get it all done at once

Yes, you can. That's what I did last year. They keep everything. Do not worry! I didn't get in though....🙁

Anywayz, I reapply again this year and my application is complete. I hope with my BS degree and a higher GPA, thwy would give me at least an interview!

hey smallkitty,
can i ask what your gpa was last year?

yeah i'll filling out the LLU ps too... what did you guys end up doing? in short paragraph form did you number them (1,2,3...) and write a paragraph.. then a space inbetween? :scared:thanks i appreciate it

Pharmcas calculated it to be 3.1 because I retook some classes. But I know people who got into LLU with 3.0 so GPA is not everything! Good luck!

I think just numbering paragraphs makes you look like you don't know how to put together an essay.. at least that's how I view it. I incorporated all 4 ideas into a single essay with 5 paragraphs, tying together the topics with an intro and conclusion. Good luck with your writing!

when i applied several years ago (and was offered acceptance, no waitlisting), i wrote 1 full page for each essay question and at the top of each page, I #ed them according to each question (along w/ including the essay question).
